March Madness

Unfortunately blogging has taken a backseat to this thing called life.

Need proof you say?

True Life: I have 902 unread items in my Google Reader.

And that’s NOT even including all my Tumblr friends whose posts I need to catch up on.

My mother has been telling me pretty much my whole life that I do too much and go too much. But for the first time (at least out loud) I am admitting that “I’ve bitten off a little more than I can chew” sometimes.

This is me…

I’m telling you this to apologize for my absence up until now and unfortunately, but most likely, apologizing in advance for future absence.

Update on this life that is preventing me from bloggedy blogging…

School: Blah. Is it May yet??

Internship: I think the saying “trial by fire” pretty much sums up everything I’m doing.

Work: I love kids and I love dogs (really I do), but I can’t wait for the day when other people’s dogs/kids aren’t my main source of income. I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Church: My 10th graders are the bomb.com. Seriously. Spending time with them is a highlight of my week/life.

(Here we are at a retreat 2 weekends ago. I know for a FACT I was not that cute as a sophomore.)

My own Bible study group is going through the book of James and anyone who has read James knows how straight to the point and convicting it is. Just trying to soak it all in and process right now.

Boy to the friend: Andrew got accepted into the Chick-fil-A Interim Manager class! Yay!

Not that I’m surprised because he’s awesome but I’m still super proud of him. So he is downtown for the for the next 3 weeks being all businessman-y. Shaking hands and kissing babies. :)

OH!

Aaaaaaand on a really, really exciting note—a friend of mine is pregnant (yippee!).

But NOT only is she pregnant…she has asked MCK and I to decorate the nursery! We are ecstatic and having so.much.fun pulling together precious, adorable baby stuff. Tomorrow we are going to measure the room and take pictures so we can start creating inspiration boards. More to come on this and our adventures as interior designers I’m sure.

Well, that’s the cliffnotes version of my life right now.

I’ll admit to sometimes feeling overwhelmed, but as always the Lord continues to be so, so sweet in my time of need. He is always reminding me of His promises in scripture and surrounding me with encouraging family and friends.

Hope y’all are having a fantastic Tuesday! I mean it when I say I’m missing you!
